You won’t have to pay sales or use tax on tampons, sanitary pads and other menstrual hygiene products in Ohio in April of 2020.
That’s because Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine on Wednesday signed a bill into law that eliminates what’s widely known as the pink tax: sale or use tax on products used for menstruation.
Tampons, pads, menstrual cups, and underwear liners will join a relatively hodgepodge list of goods which don’t get charged sales tax by the state.
